Another reason Allen is toast:
He’s pretty much GWB II. I think the voters, while they may well vote for a Republican, won’t vote for anyone they percieve to be too similar to Bush. They’ll go for someone like Guilani, Romney (who appears more sophisiticated than Bush), maybe McCain, but I doubt they are going to go for someone who is pretty much the same guy as Bush is.
