Question: How do you get fall foliage to come out that well? The colors on the trees in the background are quite vivid. For me it seems to be a crapshoot over whether they come out well or very muted, the latter unfortunately being far more common. I’m not enough of a photography nerd to know what settings I should be looking at, but after too many disappointments I’m willing to spend the extra effort for next year.

I took several shots at different exposure times to get the light right. This one was at 1/80. Usually I take an even shorter exposure so that the light doesn’t wash out the colors.

Out of curiosity, what kind of camera are you using?
