Somehow the party of a very popular governor wins and it's sudden doom for the GOP naionwide. Now, I don't know much about Kaine, but I'm going to guess he's not the most liberal person in the world, being elected in Virginia. Using the media's logic, a liberal (and somewhat popular) Republican's being reelected in New York City should spell gloom and doom for the Democrats nationwide, which is absolutely ludicrous. But this is no different than the logic being used in this governor's race. I will say I have found the coverage of this election to be atrocious.
