Rather was on Larry King last night and he still won’t admit that the TANG story was bogus.
KING: Are you saying the story might be correct?RATHER: Well, I’m saying a prudent person might take that view.
KING: Do you have that view?
RATHER: Well, I’m saying a prudent person might take that view.
Utterly, totallly, amazing. Gee whiz, just admit a mistake and move on.
He is going to cement this story as the truly defining moment of his career by doing that.
Most odd.

I guess I don’t see the difficulty. The document was a forgery, but the allegation wasn’t therefore false.

Well, since the basis for the allegation was founded in the documents, I think that there is a problem.

Even if a story is correct, the person using fraudulent docs to prove it has lost the right to any opinion whatsoever.

I hate Dan Rather. With a passion. And what’s with that whole “courage” thing? I’ve decided to start ending my comments with a random word to illustrate how idiotic it is.
