U.S. Forces Say No 8 on Iraq Wanted List in Custody
The U.S. military said on Thursday that its forces had captured a former regional commander in Saddam Hussein's Baath Party who is on Washington's list of most-wanted Iraqis.Posted by Steven at May 22, 2024 09:51 AM | TrackBackThe U.S. Central Command said in a statement that Aziz Salih Numan was a Baath Party regional command chairman responsible for west Baghdad. He was also a former governor of the southern cities of Karbala and Najaf.
The statement said he was number eight on the wanted list.
Two questions naturally arise - 1) under what conditions are these former Iraqui heavy weights being kept and 2) what would be their just punishment?
Regarding #1: I don't care as long as it is SECURE.
Regarding #2: I feel that CONTINUOUS re-running of the recent Dimocrap presidential candidate TV debate (or whatever that was supposted to be in South Carolina) would leave no body marks and quickly "crack" even the most ardent. They'd "spill their beans" ASAP.
Admiral ...
Your thoughts are good and would no doubt be effective but, under the Geneva Conventions, this treatment could be construed as cruel.
After all, even the Dimocraps don't want to watch this nonsense again.
