It is rather remarkable that many of the news shows led with, or gave more time to, the Hillary book story than they did to the historical meeting with Bush, Sharon and Abbas.

Yeah, and it apparently ain't too good for the Democrats to have this happening. On the plus side, they preempt a pretty strong showing by George, but on the negative side it just keeps associating scandal with the Democrats and keeps the people they want to exit the stage right there in the center of it all.

It wouldn't be kosher for me to mention this on my website, I heard this yesterday and started yelling at my radio: One of our competitors uses AP Radio News. They're take on the summit?

"Prime Ministers Ariel Sharon and Mahmoud Abbas are pledging to work together after a summit in Jordan today. Also in attendance at the summit, King Abdullah of Jordan and President George W. Bush."

and that was the entire freakin' story. Ridiculous.

While that isn't especially surprising, it is nonetheless, quite remarkable.

Yes, I noticed that as well. I tuned in the cable news to get the latest on the summit wrap-up yesterday, and it was all Martha, Martha, Martha. Let's see, Mideast peace or juicy scandal, that must have been a tough one for the editors to decide.
