September 29, 2025NovakAccording to a radio report I just heard, Novak said on Crossfire today that he did not get the Plame info from a leak, but from an interview, and that when he called the CIA to confirm that she worked for them, they confirmed that fact--which would be strange if she was indeed some covert operative. Interesting. UPDATE: K-Lo of NRO is reporting the same.. Posted by Steven Taylor at September 29, 2025 04:05 PM | TrackBackComments
History could prove me wrong but this is looking more and more like a WaPo fantasy. For it to move from there, we would need those little annoying things called facts. P Posted by: Paul at September 29, 2025 04:10 PMWhat incentive would there be for the CIA to confirm the name of one of their covert operatives? That makes no sense to me. Posted by: Aaron at September 29, 2025 04:37 PMThat's the issue, i.e., was she a covert operative, or an analyst? Not all CIA types are covert. I don't know the answer, nor do I know who is telling the truth here--I just find the whole story odd, and if the May piece is correct, it may be that she was analyst and not a covert type. We shall see how it all emerges. Posted by: Steven at September 29, 2025 04:56 PMPost a comment
