  • Election Time

All of us poligeeks will get to whet our appetites a bit for 04 with a mini-flurry of state-level elections on Tuesday, with a brief encore on the 13th the 15th (thanks, Dave).

    Tuesday we get:

    Kentucky

    Mississippi
    New Jersey
    Virginia

On the 13th 15th we get Louisiana.

UPDATE: And, as reader Pathos point out: the Philly's mayoral race is Tuesday as well.

The President is stumping for candidates in Mississippi and Kentucky today where it appears that Republicans have a shot at unseating Democrats.

Do not forget, also, a very close mayor's race in Philadelphia (especially since the city is 80% registered Democrat.)

Not to nitpick, but the Lousiana race is on the 15th, not the 13th.

    Pathos,

    Good point,

And Dave--thanks for noting the error.

In La, the Republican opened up an 11 point lead in a race that had been a dead heat. The Dem spent money on commercials airing popular Senator John Breaux and that looks to be closing the gap a pinch.

All things considered, it still looks like it is the Republican's race right now.

There's Houston's mayoral race as well. And Houston is bigger than Philly.

Cultivated people foster what is good in others, not what is bad. Petty people do the opposite.
