Don't forget: Louisiana Governor's Race to Make History

It is a hell of a race... The Democrat was 10 point behind in the polls before she and the State Democratic Party ran a series of attack ads.

The ads lie about Jindal's record so bad that every newspaper in the state has called her on it. They are simply lies. No, not a difference of opinion... Flat falsehoods. The people who know the truth are seething. Even many liberals are trashing her over it.

BUT this late in the game, lies often work. She was up by one point this morning.

NOTE: Not a single word was said about President Bush by the Dems. They did not even mention they were dems. They simply lied about Jindal.

They learned a lesson when they asked for a referendum on Bush in Kentucky and lost by 10 points.

The race will come down to wether the people of the state believe her ads or learn the truth. It's a toss-up.

And as a postscript, it will probably be blacks that decide the race and a surprising number of blacks are backing the Republican.

    Well, sleaze won the day.

After running ads that literally said women would die if Jindal was elected*, the Democrat managed to go from 10 points down to winning by less than 50K votes.

A proud moment for the dems to be sure.

    * They even had sound effects of an EKG machine going flatline. But hey- they would never try to scare old people would they????
