  • Ok, Someone Explain This to Me

In the 12/22 issue of Newsweek, in the "Conventional Wisdom" section, Nixon is featured with an "up" arrow. The blurb by arrow? "In new tapes he calls Reagan 'strange' and 'not pleasant.' Say what? Guess we'll have to hear it on Showtime."

    Huh?

I think it's something to do with "The Reagans."

I figured that was the Showtime ref--but why does it give Nixon an "up" arrow?

Dude where have you been?-- The most virtuous person in the world is a Republican who bashes other republicans. (think John McCain)

Now add the "super bonus points, double word score and collecting 200 dollars for passing GO" because it was Reagan being trashed.

The very first words out of my wife's mouth when she heard it on the news were, "Since when did the media put any stock in anything Nixon said?"

The answer was obvious. To the media, Nixon is the antichrist until he bases Reagan.
