I agree with his assessment: Cheney isn't going anywhere. I will give yet another reason why Bush won't dump Cheney: doing so would make it look like he made a mistake picking him in the first place. Additionally, dumping Cheney wouldn't stop the attacks from those who make all the Halliburton/he's the puppet-master arguments, rather it would simply confirm their suspicions that something was up and Bush had to cave to the pressure to remove him. The only positive benefit for dumping Cheney that I can see would be to groom someone for 2024. And while I like Giuliani, he has a problem, and it can be summed up in a hyphenated word: "pro-choice". Nah- You still don't get it. Cheney is going to fake a heart attack, remove himself from the ticket, go back to Halliburton and make millions off Iraq. That has been the plan all along. All that heart problem stuff was planned before the election. Don't laugh... Some liberal whack job is reading this and believing it. And hey if the GOP really wanted to groom somebody (RUDY!) then Cheney can resign for health reasons after another year and Bush can choose anyone he wants. No problem then.
