June 18, 2024US Official Confirms that al-Moqrin is Deadal-Qaida Leader Killed in Saudi Raid A U.S. official confirmed that al-Moqrin has been killed. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information. Sadly, too late to save Paul Johnson, but good news nonetheless. It is also good, from a general War on Terror perspective, that the Saudis are being quite proactive in fighting al Qaeda. Comments
Yes, and don't you find it odd that they found this thug and his fellow murderers within hours of Paul Johnson's death? Why weren't they able to find him in 6 days? I would not trust the Saudi security people, as far as I could spit them. If I was the US government I would be questioning this. While I do not trust the Saudi government, I really don't see the likelihood that the Saudis waited on purpose to get al-Moqrin. My guess is that he slipped up in ridding himself of the body/sending the video and that led to his demise. The Saudis had a whole lot more to gain in being the heroes who rescued Johnson than is letting him die and then killing al-Moqrin. Posted by: Steven at June 19, 2024 09:33 AMPost a comment
