    2. From what I have read, the arc for much or all of “Generations” involves the mystery of who killed whoever was to be killed in the first episode, and so yeah, I guess George Takei will be reduced to flashbacks only. It’ll be interesting to see Nichelle Nichols appear later in the season.

Intriguing theory about Nathan, but I bet that was a… what’s the term? Red herring? Throw us off the trail. Just like making us think Hiro’s father was alive 400 years ago at the end of last season.

The implication is clearly that Hiro’s father and Angela have powers, so it bothers me not knowing what they are. The episode also threw my theory right out the window; that Angela might be the one worse than Sylar. Nope; merely evil and one of the cabal.

I suspect Lyle and Mrs. HRG remember everything, because the Haitian is no longer HRG’s sidekick. Love that dinner table scene. Love the parallel between HRG not being able to stick to the normality script and Claire having the same problem. Amusing that it’s the paper busines in some form. I was amazed at the financial implications versus HRG’s new job, but dismissed it as TV unreality and tried not to let it distract me much.

      Molly is funny.

I loved the power of the guy I dubbed Goldfinger, and loved even more when we learned Suresh was bait.

    3. Since I watched Heroes last season I was pleased with the premier. But for someone who only heard about how “cool” it was without watching they would be lost after this episode. It’s instantly fallen into cult tv status. How many people are going to rent out the DVDs to catch up?

    4. It’s a legit problem for this type of show. I never watched Lost, for example, despite the buzz because I didn’t want to invest the time needed to get caught up.

Now, I have preached the gospel of Heroes if you will and have gotten a few converts, including some friends who did rent the DVD

    5. When you are re-watching via TiVo (you lucky dog) take a good look at the scene where they show Nathan see his reflection in the mirror and he’s badly burned. My sister thinks that it is really Sylar, not Nathan. I disagree, because Sylar wouldn’t be burned, but Nathan would. Tell me what you think.

And I forget, did Sylar kill the shape shifter lady last season or not?

    6. I thought that the reflection was of Peter being badly burned, and it was Nathan lamenting Peter’s fate as he saw it. But I will go back and look.

    7. Thanks.

Honestly, I thought it was Peter, too, but I didn’t get a really good look. Also, I didn’t understand why Nathan would see himself differently in the mirror. He’s not Nikki/Jessica. I did, however, read that Nathan was going to be badly burned from the explosion.
