Maybe it’s time to retire Star Trek for good. Enterprise failed to break them out of the tired formula, which is more soap opera than science fiction in any case. Unless the torch passes to a Joss Whedon-level imagination, any new Trek, including the proposed animated series, will just be the latest retread.
