They were put in there to fool the masses, and it’s quite clear that they are still fooling people today. Huge corporations cozied up with the Nazis and funded them when Hitler threw labor leaders, socialists, and communists into concentration camps. Among these companies were IG Farben, Krupp steelworks and Porsche. In Italy, where, Fascists recieved the support of big business, most street violence occurred when the Fascists attacked striking workers and socialist party demonstrations. That is, until the Fascists took power and murdered or jailed all of their left-wing opponents.
The real policies, not the rhetoric, are what determines the character of a political party.
