Savage bastards. Why the hell were they allowed to rush in around him after he died? Executioner, doctor, cleric….that should be it! The dude that filmed it has fucking A.D.D. and actually takes the camera off Saddam because he got distracted…jesus christ, if that moment in time isn’t historic enough for you then get the fuck out of the room.
Sometimes we wonder why certain nations aren’t on par with the rest of the world. Maybe the behavior of these people while the entire world is watching will prove that Iraqi’s are fucking idiots.

Remember, we armed this guy. There were no weapons of mass destruction. You call him a bastard now, but in the 80′s we were calling him a hero for fighting our enemies, the Iranians, and the Kurdish “insurgents”. We turned a blind eye to the human rights abuses as it fit our cause.
Now, two decades later, we aren’t getting rid of Saddam because of his crimes against humanity- that’s just a convenient excuse. We’re getting rid of him because he “knows too much” about our government’s involvement in Iraq. The kangaroo court in Iraq had its strings pulled by the United States government. This was an ostensible execution for human rights abuses. It’s really a high-tech whacking by organized cri…er, the United States government.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not singing Saddam’s praises. But I think our fickle government is dirty, and just as bad. If Saddam is guilty of gassing Kurds and should die for his crimes, then ergo, the people who armed him and supported him in his struggle should also suffer the same fate. And who’s that man shaking hands with Saddam? Look familiar, kiddies?
I love my countrymen, I hate my government. Hypocrites and war profiteers all- Republican and Democrat.

Good point Greg. Too bad China does not take us over and say that our homeless are mistreated and left for dead. Then hang our govt, and enforce their ideals on us. We had no business dicating how another country does their own laws but our arrogance will be the death of us all someday.

You can hate your enemy but demand respect for them! that is what many arabs are saying!
may you wake up in time to realize that the Iraqi’s that were for the war still respected their leader even if they wanted him dead.
I think he is too complex for any common person to judge but it seems that arabs who hated him took the hanging as an offense, to have him killed on their Eid/ holiday where they kill a goat/ sheep in rememberance of Abrahamic stories of which God tests him by ordering him to slaughter his son and then replacing it with a sheep….
I met too many arabs who hated saddam but hated more the mockery that others took of their holiday.
the hanging should have waited a bit longer not on the eve of the holiday!
we are a smart nation, we should have waited for the right moment!

You americans have invaded our country under false pretext, killed our leaders, stolen our natural resources, and denied our citizens the same due process of law that you afford your own people. You are a nation of hypocrits. You think that you can just run over the rest of the world and take what you want. Well we will see if you have the belly for a long, protracted conflict. We consider it an honor to fight and die for Allah. What do you fight for? The personal wealth of Haliburton and the other companies owned and operated by George Bush and his cronies?
