It may have no effect on the partisan composition of Alabama’s congressional delegation, but I will shout amen from the roof. I didn’t follow Everett so much until I came to Troy and he is wholly unimpressive and comes across as an idiot.l I perceive him as an embarrassment to Alabama, and will be glad to see him go.

Is he close to being under indictment? That seems to be the main motivating factor for Congressional retirements these days (e.g. Rios-Montt’s son-in-law in IL).
