    1. Instead of Habitat, you should urge your readers to give money to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project since Bush cut its budget from $36.5 million to $10.4 million for the coming year.

      The SLUFC is part of the Army Corps of Engineers whose staff had been warning for years about the potential tragedy incurred if drainage programs in Jefferson and Orleans Parrishes were not completed. Bush, obviously didn’t care until it was too late. Habitat will not be able to do anything until the drainage issue is taken care of.
