Towards the end of my tenure with MT, some of the porn spammers had found a way around Blacklist and I had had 100s of porn spams that I didn't even know had made it through the filters and Blacklist. Which does no good because none of it's been up more than a few hours before being deleted, and usually no more than a few minutes. WordPress is worse, which is why Deb turned on moderation on the baby's blog. It has its merits and is free, but I have no objection to Deb's desire to move to the commercial version of Expression Engine. It seems like every Wednesday and Thursday the major porn and pill spam comes through with Texas-Holdem on the weekends. I wonder why that is. One allows "mass deleting" of comments when there are a lot already there, one creates a whitelist (once comments are approved, those people can post again without moderation), and one bans by IP and delays before an access denied page.
