    Not that this surprises me, and not that I was terribly sanguine about the chances for his success, still, not good: Abbas Quits in Blow to Mideast Peace Plan.

    The worst part is that it brings Arafat back to center stage.

    I'm not sure Arafat coming bad is bad... (no, really)

    Israel is getting at wits end...

    A few more dead school children and the Israelis  
    might just put an end to the nonesense.

    Arafat's days might be numbered.

    Realistically, what do they have to lose?
