Teen Titans Movie in the Works
By Steven L. Taylor

Via the Hollywood Reporter: Teen Titans growing up at Warner Bros.

DC Comics’ superteam Teen Titans is getting the big-screen treatment courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures.

The live-action adaptation is being produced by Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster through their Weed Road banner, while Mark Verheiden has been brought on board to write the script

Intriguing–especially since Verheiden is a writer for BSG (and has his own blog).

Indeed, Mark has some comments about the project on his blog: here and here.

“Losing my Star Wars virginity”
By Steven L. Taylor

A BBC reporter somehow managed to make it to 2024 without seeing Star Wars, and so he chronicles the experience: Losing my Star Wars virginity.

My favorite part of the whole piece: “Warning: This story contains plot spoilers”

New Heroes?
By Steven L. Taylor

Via Reuters: New characters on tap for “Heroes,” “Prison Break”

NBC’s “Heroes,” which wrapped its freshman season with an explosive finale Monday, is rumored to be introducing at least four new, mostly international, characters next season, among them a sexy boyfriend for everyone’s favorite cheerleader, Claire (Hayden Panettiere).

Also potentially joining the cast of characters on “Heroes” next season are a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki’s (Ali Larter) son, an Irish mobster and a twentysomething Latina. It is believed that most of these characters will only do arcs on the show rather than become regulars.

Hmm, why would Micah need a surrogate mother?

Star Wars Marathon
By Steven L. Taylor

I will confess that I did was sit through, at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas, a marathon of the first three SW flicks. However, the idea of watching all six at once is just a bit much (for me, anyway). Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that the first two put my teeth on edge and the third one is only tolerable.

Via the AP: `Star Wars’ fans get marathon screening :

Seventeen hours in a darkened theater not so far away? Welcome to the “Star Wars” marathon.

A free showing of all six “Star Wars” movies began Wednesday morning at the Los Angeles Convention Center and was expected to end at 2 a.m. Thursday.

Of course, I couldn’t imagine sitting still for 17 straight hours of about anything…
