We watched the first episode of Friday Night Lights last night. It wsa decent enough that we will ikely watch a second.
However, two observations: West Texas accents don’t sound like Deep South southern accents.
But, more to the point in terms of poor research: it was the first game of the season, meaning it was either in late August or early September–and the coaches and crowd were wearing jackets and the players were in long sleeves.
It’s West Texas.
In August/September.
No. One. Is. Wearing. Jackets.
(For what it is worth, I checked the Weather Channel and this Friday in Midland, Texas the high is supposed to be 85 and the low 62–no jackets and sleeves in early October either)

But . . . but . . . its football! Which takes place in the fall!
Its has to be cold! HAS TO BE!!!
(Or at lest, so said the research team.)
