Via ABC News: Thompson Diagnosed 2 1/2 Years Ago with ‘Indolent Lymphoma’

Former Senator and ABC Radio Senior Analyst Fred Thompson says he has lymphoma. Thompson is mulling a run for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination.

Well, that’s a rather important fact, one would think.

According to the statement issued by Thompson:

Of the 30-plus kinds of lymphoma this is a “good” kind, if there is such a thing.

I have had no illness from it, or even any symptoms. My life expectancy should not be affected. I am in remission, and it is very treatable with drugs if treatment is needed in the future—and with no debilitating side effects.

May it be so.

Still, one has to wonder how such news will affect whatever chances he may have should he choose to seek the GOP nomination.

    1. That’s probably why he said something NOW, as opposed to it coming out in the middle of his campaign.
