Via the AP: Brazil, Argentina launch space rocket

The VS30 rocket, which carried experiments from both countries, blasted off from the Barreira do Inferno launch center in Brazil’s northern Rio Grande do Norte state, the country’s Space Agency said in a statement.

The operation was the result of a 1998 accord between Brazil’s and Argentina’s space agencies. Brazil has launched earlier rockets into space and Argentina has used other nations’ rockets to send up satellites.
