Ok, so I take an allergy medicine that contains pseudoephredrine, which before a few weeks ago was a prescription only medication (Zyrtec-D). The drug in question is now available over-the-counter, but this means that not only do I have to give the pharmacy my driver’s license information so that I can entered into a database (something I didn’t have to do, by the way, when picking up pain killers in the opiate family for my wife after surgery a few years back) so that I don’t buy too much pseudoephredrine at a time, never mind that I can now no longer buy as much in a month as I could with my prescription (which is really annoying).
Because, of course, the only reason someone would want a decongestant would be to make illicit drugs.
Thanks, Congress, for “doing something” about drugs. No doubt when I get a sinus headache because I have less access to pseudoephredrine,1 it will mean one less meth addict on the street, because Heaven knows that these silly restrictions will stop meth production.

Actually, crystal meth does WONDERS for allergies!
