Via io9: R.I.P. Elisabeth Sladen, Doctor Who’s Apprentice.
Sladen played Sarah Jane Smith, companion to Doctor’s Three and Four and later played alongside Ten and Eleven.
She died due to complications associated with cancer, according to the BBC. She was only 63.
May she rest in peace.
