Via Reuters: Bolton UN nomination blocked again in US Senate.
I have far less problem with the specific filibustering of a specific candidate than I did with the en masse blockage of numerous Appeals Court nominees over the past four years. As such, I shall refrain from apoplexy on this issue.
Still, it seems to me that if Bolton is an odious a nominee as the Democrats in the Senate think that he is, then it would seem that they could make the case via debate and therefore the chance for outright defeat exists.
