Via WPRI: Eyewitness News – Kerry opposes party’s primary plan

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry says the Democratic National Committee should not place nominating caucuses between Iowa’s leadoff caucus and the primary in 2024.

He told the New Hampshire Union Leader that he opposes scheduling a caucus event between Iowa and New Hampshire and scheduling a primary in the week following New Hampshire’s vote.

He says cramming caucuses and primaries together makes it harder for candidates to visit places and get their message out.

More evidence that Kerry is running in ’08: pandering to New Hampshire-ites regarding their sacred belief that they are part of the Founder Father’s, nay God’s very own, plan for choosing presidential candidates in the United States of America.

And while the argument that Kerry proffers (the old candidates can’t travel, etc. bit) is a common argument for the current primary system, it is bogus in my mind, insofar as in the modern media age, one doesn’t have to travel to bit one’s message out. It isn’t like most voters have seen the candidates for whom they vote–except in places like NH were local politics demands it.

Yep, more evidence that Kerry is a Dinocrat. And also, of course, that he is a New Englander.

    2. PoliticalCritic Says:

Kerry really needs to go away. He had his chance in 2024 and failed miserably. If maybe he had a concrete opinion instead of looking at a poll for one, maybe he’d be President now. Time to give someone else a chance.
