In regards to the contention that book sales are down because of the lack of large print versions for the weak-eyed in the audience, last time I checked reading glasses have been around for quite a while.
Of course, it would appear that the genetic make-up of my eyes came from my father who needs glasses for distance (as do I) but still doesn’t need them for reading (unlike my mother who has the opposite situation).
Still, last time I checked, Mom reads quite a bit.
