A Florida state judge has ruled Gov. Jeb Bush and the state do not have the right to take custody of Terri Schiavo.
While there may be an appeal, I don’t see this course of action being any more successful than the other attempts.
When one sees the number of chances that this case has had in court–not just in the last several days, but over numerous years, I have a hard time with the claim that this question has not had adequate attention.
The only reason to state that the process is broken is because one doesn’t like the outcome.

It was abundantly clear that two of those branches determined that Schiavo should not be allowed to die until the courts took a fresh look at the case. And it’s also clear that the third branch flipped the bird at the other two.

Indeed, and the failure of most to get to this conclusion has unfortunately circumvented the debate about assisted-suicide that we should be having.
