Via Keyes’ website we learN: Florida GOP excludes Alan Keyes from Orlando debate:

The Florida party used a 1% or better showing in polls from three of six polling firms as their criterion for inclusion in the event, even though none of the selected polling firms included Keyes, the latest entry in the presidential race, in any of their statewide surveys to date.

Well, that may be because he hasn’t been a declared candidate until rather recently, and really his status as a “candidate” is still a bit nebulous (to put it politely).

Really, what claim does Keyes have to be included in the debate that any other 35 year-old citizen wouldn’t have? At this point he is no more serious of a candidate for the nomination than I am.
