“He has incredible lucidity and impeccable health… He’s as lucid as in his best moments.”

One has to wonder how much of this is being nice to old man one respects. Given that Fidel still hasn’t made a public appearance since he fell ill a year and a half ago, I can’t see any resumption of past duties at this stage. Although I suppose it depends on what Lula means by Castro’s “political role in Cuba.”
