As of tomorrow, I will be on vacation for about a week. My likely access to the net will be minimal, if not nonexistent. As such, I have asked a corps of volunteers to help out and keep PoliBlog going in my absence. They are a collection of attorneys and academics, and all should have something interesting to say.
I will note that not all them necessarily share my exact views of the world (some are more conservative, some more liberal, and so forth). So, enjoy the diversity in my absence.
While I don’t leave until tomorrow, I am going to unleash the hordes so that if there are any technical problems, I can attend to them.
Your Guest-Bloggers Will be:
- Steven L.: Permanent Guest BloggingTM here at PoliBlog. Steven is an attorney from Texas blogging from a semi-undisclosed location.
And yes, he was best man at my wedding.
- Scott Gosnell: Montgomery attorney, my next door neighbor, and editor-and-chief of Pros and Cons.
More than being responsible for helping with the blog, he is charged with making sure the new grass in my backyard doesn’t die while I am gone.
- Christopher Lawrence: visiting professor of Political Science at Duke, and well-known blogger from Signifying Nothing.
- Brett Marston. Brett is abd in political science and is currently working in an administration capacity at Georgetown. He is eyeing law school. His own blog is here.
- Bryan S.: doctoral student in communications and professor of same subject. Known to the Blogosphere at the proprietor of Arguing with Signposts (one of the best blog names is in the ’sphere).
- Matthew Shugart, Professor of Political Science, UCSD. Matthew is an eminent scholar in the area of electoral systems and institutions. I have known Matthew for almost twenty years, dating back to my undergraduate days at UCI, which corresponded to the end of his days as a grad student/newly minted Ph.D. He was a professor of mine in two classes.
And, to top it off, he was an usher at my wedding. This will be his first foray into blogging.
My thanks to them all. I think that this will be fun.
Let the games begin.
