No long after my alarm went off this morning, the power went out. Yes, again. Indeed, we have lost power for an hour+ (in one case +++++) three times since last Thursday (although once was during a serious lightning storm, for which I suppose I will cut the power company some slack).

This in the context of general power problems over the last three years. I expected this kind of problem in Bogota, but not here. Yeesh.

Still, Steven + Morning - Coffee - Internet Connection = Not Good (call it the Unified Theory of Steven Behavior, Morning Edition) so my wife suggested that I go to Panera, where they have electricity, coffee and free WiFi. (I so regualrly extol the wonderfulness of Panera on this blog that they really should advertise here).

This is all especially true when all the work I needed to get done this morning was on the computer.

I have been notified, however, that power has been restored at the homestead. Still, I shall hang here for a few.

Update: This time it wasn’t the power company’s fault: someone ran a car into a power pole.
