The man known for being the “Mr. Grumpy” of pundits got hacked off at James Carville, dropped a BS bomb on air and walked off the set of Inside Politics yesterday. Perhaps he is still upset that Crossfire was cancelled.
Yes, Carville was a being smarta**, but that’s Carville’s shtick. Indeed, it isn’t as if Novak isn’t well acquainted will his “debate” partner’s style. One wonders what the deal was.
If you haven’t see the clip, Kevin Alyward has the link.
Update: I’m with Michelle Malkin on this one:
I don’t get what Novak was so agitated about–did a producer say something in his ear? Because Carville didn’t seem anymore rude or crude than he normally is.
Indeed. In fact, he wasn’t even crude and by the standard of this TV chatfest slapdowns, he wasn’t even all that rude.
I think it’s interesting that his tantrum comes shortly after his show, CrossFire, was cancelled and the day before the last episode of Inside Politics, a show where he was a regular. With much less demand for his services I guess he can afford to have principals now.
