The question of where Tim Tebow, a HS QB from Florida was going to go to school has been the topic of local sports radio since the regular season ended (and hence why I haven’t listened to much local sporttalk of late).
Now, we find, he’s going to Florida (which should make the Chair of my Department happy):
Tebow opts to stay home and play for Florida.
One guesses that the sackfest that Auburn put on Brody Croyle didn’t help persuade Tebow to go to Bama (and I think he was at that game). Plus, it appears he has a better chance to start sooner at Florida.
Tebow is the second-rated QB on this list of the Top 100 players as ranked by Tom Lemming of CSTV.
Of course, all I care about is that it looks likes Texas has a nice share of the list).
People here are absolutely freaking out because local boy Mitch Mustain (the top rated QB on that list) has rescinded his oral committment to Arkansas and may be headed for Notre Dame.

Actually…Tebow was not at the Auburn Game since Auburn was not recruiting him to play for them thus he was an Alabama recruit. Further compound the pressure to be a hometown hero when they only have one scholarshipped qb after the backup transfers in January. It was a no-brainer to pick FLorida for him. Still, we will survive.
