This morning I noted Chinese and Indian interest in oil off the coast of Cuba.

Along those lines is the following story:
Indian, Chinese firms in oil bid

China and India have come together once again to jointly bid for a stake in an oil venture in Colombia, for about US$800 million, an Indian official said.

The China Petroleum and Chemical Corp (Sinopec) and ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the overseas arm of Indian state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp, have jointly submitted a bid to acquire the stake in the Ominex de Colombia - a subsidiary of the Texas-based Ominex Resources Inc.
