Via Reuters: Three bombs found at U.S. companies in Argentina
Argentine police found small bombs on Monday at outlets of three different U.S.-based companies in or near Buenos Aires, one of which exploded without causing any injuries.A small homemade bomb went off in a Blockbuster Inc. video store just outside the capital overnight, causing minor damage to windows, a police official told Reuters.
Bombs were also found at a McDonald’s Corp. restaurant and Citibank branch but police bomb squads removed them without causing any damage.
All three were detected overnight, before stores opened for business.
Odd. As per the article, and given the size of the bombs, it sounds like generic anti-Americanism. Still, not the kind of thing one wants going on.
