Via Reuters: Germany’s Schroeder says EU Constitution not dead
“Comments that one hears from the European parliament or elsewhere that ‘The Constitution is dead’, or whatever are quite wrong, in my firm belief,” Schroeder said in a speech to the German parliament.
While there may yet be an EU constitution, it is hard to see how the current one can successfully be implemented. Two states, one major, have already rejected it and Britain has indefinitely postponed a vote.
That’s pretty dead for a process that requires unanimity.
