…or do McDonald’s “Dollar Menu Guy” commercials make the implicit equation that being a “Dollar Menu Guy” = “Bring a Really Dumb Guy”?
The new TV ads in which “girls are like McGriddles”/”girls are like coffee” seems to preach the same message: dudes who eat at McDonlads are mo-rons.
Granted, I am outside the target demographic, but still.
It reminds me of the Hardy’s “Without us, some guys would starve” ads (although those were worse in term of trying to attract consumers by noting how dumb they are).
How about “Hey Stupid! Want a burger? We got ‘em” (and then “I’m lovin’ it!”).

Actually, the “woman are like McGriddles” is an old ad – it has been reborn in the past few weeks, or so I have noticed.
As long as you are ranting about fst food commercials, let me just say I hate with a passion the Burger King “King” dude. He is creepy, and super-imposing him in a football game is just wrong, man!

I have yet to fully understand the “McGriddles are like women” ad. And I agree that the Burger King guy is creepy. But not nearly as creepy as the “Stacy’s mom” Dr. Pepper commercial.

And then you hear “women are like McGriddles” and you immediately think of warm maple syrup.
. . .er . . . or is that just me?
Nevermind.

No only do they suggest that their customers are stupid, they seem to largely ignor women as customers. That’s how it seems to me anyway. I wonder why that is.

Given all of the chemically-enhanced crap they put in their “food,” I think the “stupid” demographic is the only one who would actually consume McDs.
