Once you’ve lost the Supermodels, there’s nowhere to go but down: (via the BBC) Supermodel ‘rejects dollar pay’
The world’s richest model has reportedly reacted in her own way to the sliding value of the US dollar - by refusing to be paid in the currency.
Gisele Bündchen is said to be keen to avoid the US currency because of uncertainty over its strength.
The Brazilian, thought to have earned about $30m in the year to June, prefers to be paid in euros, her sister and manager told the Bloomberg news agency.
Oh, the humanity!

I have to be honest, I didn’t take the dollar value as more then a curiosity before getting interested in Ron Paul’s presidential candidacy. He has made monetary policy one of his campaign themes. As a result I think many elements of society that normally wouldn’t pay attention are noticing it and educating themselves a little on it.
And there’s the current sub-prime mortgaging fiasco, with the Fed Reserve jumping in, to put even more attention on it. And of course the dollar falling beneath the the value of the Canadian dollar (I live in MI, so that actually affects me). Heck, I should have been investing in Euro’s! All in all I’ve learned more about monetary policy in the last two months then the rest of my 26 years. And I don’t like the way it’s heading!

Maybe she should be paid in the Brazilian Real, the currency of her home nation.
