As noted yesterday, the UAH shooter, Amy Bishop, shot and killed her brother in 1986 in an event that was declared an accident.  Some question have emerged in regards to how that event has handled.

The relevant politics is that the DA at time was William D. Delahunt, currently a member of Congress.  No doubt, the handling of the 1986 shooting could be a political issue for Delahunt in his re-election campaign.  However, it appears he may not be running for re-election (but not because of the UAH shooting).

Yesterday’s BoGlo reports:  Delahunt says he might be the next to go.

That would, if it comes to pass, add another Democratic retirement to the list (some discussion of House retirements can be found here).
