Via the Boston Herald: Report: Palmeiro test true
Orioles slugger Rafael Palmeiro tested positive for stanozolol, a powerful anabolic steroid not available in dietary supplements, according to a report last night.The report, posted on the Web site of The New York Times, cited a person in baseball with knowledge of the drug-testing program who requested anonymity because the sport prohibits disclosure about test results without authorization.
Stanozolol is known by the brand name Winstrol, most notably linked to the Olympic sprinter Ben Johnson of Canada, who was stripped of his 100-meter gold medal in 1988.
Not that I was buying what Palmeiro was selling in the first place, this pretty much appears to slam shut the idea that the whole thing was an accident.
Palmeiro needs to disclose what he took and what he did.

Yes, Palmeiro should come clean.
But I’m just as rankled by the source:

THEN WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO THE PRESS, YOU MORON?
Honestly, I hope this guy is found and fired, just on the principle of the thing.

I almost commented on the anonymous source aspect of the thing, but just let it slide.
