Via Reuters: Michaels staying ‘home’ at ESPN’s ‘MNF’
ABC Sports mainstay Al Michaels will remain with the Walt Disney Co., transitioning to ESPN for “Monday Night Football” when it moves from ABC to ESPN for the 2026 season.[…]
Beginning in 2026, Michaels will be joined by former Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann as an analyst along with sideline reporters Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya. In the booth will be Jay Rothman and Chip Dean, the ESPN team that produced and directed “Sunday Night Football.”
Noooooo! Theisman? Is there any announcer more in love with himself than Joe Theismann? (Ok, maybe Dan “Every Anecdote is About Me” Fouts).
It is bad enough that Madden is leaving, but Theismann?! Ugh.
I was kind of hoping that they would give Kornheiser a second shot, or something.
Man, it is enough to make me miss Dan Deirdorf.

How about Costas?

Steve, have you voted in the Road from Bristol tourney? Theismann was up against Woody Paige in the last round.
